Jerome Smith, Osteopath.

Jerome is an osteopath with a passion for helping people move pain-free.

A firm believer in hands-on treatment, he gets results using a combination of osteopathic techniques, joint manipulation, dry needling and simple exercises that fit into busy lifestyles.

Jerome graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in London in 2012 and came to Australia in 2014, working in private practices in both Canberra and Sydney. He is experienced treating a broad range of painful conditions, from a stiff neck to ACL injuries and everything in-between.

Jerome has a strong background treating sports and performance injuries, having worked extensively with men’s and women’s ACT Premier League soccer. In 2018 Jerome completed a Diploma in Football Medicine through FIFA and currently holds qualifications in advanced dry needling and strength & conditioning coaching. He has also worked with a number of high school rugby union teams and international-level competitors in powerlifting, gymnastics, rowing, tennis, golf and Irish dancing.

Jerome has provided osteopathic services to the Australian Federal Police College and the ACT Government’s Department of Veterans’ Affairs. He has enjoyed worked closely with orthodontists in the treatment of temporomandibular disorder (TMD) and has been heavily involved in providing post-operative care to patients recovering from abdominal surgery at the Canberra Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (CAPS) Clinic.

Jerome continues to see a wide variety of patients, from athletes to expectant mothers, children and the elderly. He is passionate about the effects of diet, exercise and stress on health, and uses his understanding of these concepts to successfully manage pain and prevent its recurrence.
